Team USA has had a mixed bag of results in the Ryder Cup in recent years.
Steve Stricker’s American team inflicted a record defeat on Europe at Whistling Straits in 2021 but has yet to win the trophy on away turf since 1993.
Luke Donald’s Team Europe won the trophy back at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Rome this year when the odds appeared against them.
No one needs to say that the United States have produced stunning players and stunning teams in this tournament. That much is a given. Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods are just a handful of names that appear in the US Ryder Cup archives.
