For the first time in its short history, the LIV Golf League visits Hong Kong this week for its fourth event of the 2024 season.
Hong Kong becomes the fourth Asian country to play host to the LIV Golf League, following in the footsteps of Thailand, Singapore and Saudi Arabia.
The latter played host to last week’s LIV Golf Jeddah, with the circus moving east for this week’s competition.
Hong Kong Golf Club will play host to the tournament. It is a course that has hosted the Hong Kong Open since 1959, with the face of LIV Golf, Greg Norman, having won the event twice.
The likes of Padraig Harrington, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Rory McIlroy, Ian Poulter and Justin Rose have all been victorious at the venue since the turn of the century.
Chilean Joaquin Niemann is the man in form. He has won two of the first three events of the 2024 LIV Golf campaign, with wins in Mayakoba and Jeddah.
